What causes excessive wear on Auto Parts Micro Screws punches?

2025,10,29
Auto Parts Micro Screws are manufactured using a special process called cold stamping, which processes materials (metal or non-metal) into parts (or semi-finished products). These are called cold auto parts Micro Screws (commonly known as cold stamping dies).

Stamping is a pressure processing method in which a die mounted on a press applies pressure to the material at room temperature, causing separation or plastic deformation, thereby producing the desired part.
1. Small clearance in Auto Parts Micro Screws. Generally, the total clearance of the die is 20% to 25% of the material thickness.
2. Poor alignment of the male and female dies, including insufficient precision in the die base, die guide assembly, and turret inserts, leads to poor die alignment.
3. Excessive die temperature, primarily due to overheating of the punch tip during continuous, long-term stamping with the same die.
4. Improper sharpening methods in Auto Parts Micro Screws can cause die annealing and increased wear.
5. Poor assembly accuracy can severely cause the punch tip to deflect past the upper die, damaging both the punch and the die.
